A spokeswoman representing the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) revealed on Monday (18 September) that authorities in Europe are hoping that the Airbus A380 will be certified for commercial use by the end of 2006.
According to Reuters, the German-based Focus magazine had reported that EASA would complete the certification of the aircraft "at least three months later" than originally planned.
The first A380 is scheduled to be delivered to Singapore Airlines by the end of 2006.
