AirTran Airways has said that it will be scaling back its aggressive expansion plan due to uncertain market conditions.

Kevin Healy, AirTran's vice president of planning, reportedly told Reuters that although the carrier will remain one of the fastest growing airlines in the US, it has trimmed its 2007 outlook due to factors such as volatility in fuel prices.

The carrier said it plans a capacity growth of between 19-20% in 2007, down from a previous forecast of 22-24%.
