Frontier Issues Request for Proposal in Colo.

Frontier expects to commence initial service to new regional markets by the middle of 2007.

Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) has issued a request for proposal (RFP) to communities throughout Colorado and within a radius of approximately 1,200 miles of its Denver hub seeking regional jet and/or turbo-prop service.

The carrier said that the RFP is a critical "next step" as the airline solidifies its growth plans following the recent firm order of ten new Bombardier Q-400 turbo-prop aircraft, and the planned expansion of its regional jet fleet to as many as 20 aircraft.

The RFP was distributed to over 50 communities in an effort to provide all potentially viable communities with an opportunity to outline their need for and plans to support the introduction of Frontier's air service. Frontier has reportedly already targeted several new markets for its new regional service.
