UPS Sets up Team to Evaluate Airbus A380 Order
United Parcel Service Inc has said that it will evaluate its acquisition of Airbus A380 cargo aircraft.
The company said that it has set up a team to evaluate its purchase of Airbus A380s and that all options remain open.
The A380 is now two years behind schedule, which means that UPS' first scheduled delivery of the aircraft model is now May 2010 instead of September 2009. UPS has ten A380s on order, with an option to buy a further ten. The order has an estimated value of more than USD2.5bn.
