WestJet Is North America's Most Financially Successful Airline
Canadian airline WestJet has claimed that it is North America's most financially successful airline.
According to the airline it leads the industry in percentage earnings after reporting a record third quarter earnings margin.
WestJet said that based on reported 2006 third quarter results its pre-tax margin is 16%, outperforming all other North American carriers on a percentage basis. In addition WestJet's available seat miles (ASM) growth for the third quarter was 17.3%, placing the airline among the top North American carriers for seat capacity growth, the company claimed.
