Airport Security Raised in India after Intelligence Reports
Intelligence reports of Pakistan-based militants potentially trying to hijack an aircraft have led to an increase in security at Indian airports.
Aditya Arya, joint commissioner of Delhi Police, has said that the police are ready to stop any plans and will coordinate with the Central Industrial Security Force, which is a paramilitary organisation, if there is any anti-hijacking operation.
According to Reuters, there were reports to intelligence agencies that militants could hijack an aircraft to Bangladesh to seek the release of Mohammed Afzal Guru.
