LODI, N.J. -- A man who allegedly fled to Honduras with more than $300,000 of his wife's assets has been arrested by local police.

Henry Acosta, 31, was intercepted Saturday night at Newark Liberty International Airport, on arrival from Honduras, said police Chief Vincent Caruso. Police arrested Acosta on an outstanding warrant that was unrelated to his wife's allegations, he said.

Acosta is being held in the Bergen County Jail, Caruso said.

On Monday, a Lodi Municipal Court judge found probable cause for Margaret Acosta's claim that her husband had committed "theft by deception." The court issued the same day a separate warrant for her husband's arrest.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office is investigating Margaret Acosta's claims, Caruso said.
