Virgin Nigeria looks for Partnership with US Airline
Virgin Nigeria has said that it could enter into a partnership with a US airline in order to actualise its operations on the profitable Nigeria-United States route.
The airline's CEO, Conrad Clifford, said that the carrier plans to announce details soon of a partnership.
According to AngolaPress, Virgin Nigeria has not been able to secure approval from the US Department of Transportation to fly the Lagos-New York and other US routes. This is reportedly because the US sees the airline as British-owned and, unlike Nigeria, Britain does not have an open skies agreement with the US.
