Autogrill SpA, the world's largest manager of airport restaurants, said Thursday it renewed airport concessions in Hawaii, Ohio and Oregon, in deals expected to bring combined revenues of more than US$450 million (euro340.1 million).
Autogrill's U.S. subsidiary HMSHost Corp. renewed a concession to operate 18 food shops in Honolulu, Hawaii's international airport. The company expects that deal to generate revenue of more than US$300 million (euro226.7 million) from 2007 to 2014.
HMSHost will also continue to operate 10 food shops in the international airport of Port Columbus, Ohio from January 2007 to December 2016 and expects to earn revenue of US$120 million (euro90.7 million).
Another US$45 million (euro34 million) is expected to be generated over the next 10 years from five new shops due to be opened at the airport in Portland, Oregon.
Autogrill, which also operates at train stations and other locations, earned euro1.65 billion (US$2.18 billion) from its airport concessions in 2005.
