After much study and research, AIRPORTBUSINESS has a new web site ready for your use.

Our research, including one-on-one surveys and reader polls, determined that you would like us to provide you with business intelligence. The new features on AIRPORTBUSINESS.com should give you an edge because we are providing industry information not readily found on other free sites. And in some case, this information is not available on paid-subscription sites.

Building on our established base of providing breaking airport and airline news, the web site is now going beyond the headlines. We have expanded the news coverage to include general aviation, aviation legal developments and international airport news. Because so much of the industry is controlled by developments in Washington, the web site now has special area focused on proposed laws and rules on Capitol Hill and in the DOT hallways.

Timely coverage of regulatory news is just one of three cornerstones upon which the revised Web site is built. We are also delivering to you for the first time a variety of business leads and a separate package of industry announcements.

When the FAA or DOT issue a propose rule, an aircraft advisory or airport guidance, AIRPORTBUSINESS.com will have complete full-text copies of these regulatory developments for your review. The site will be updated throughout the day when a new piece of regulatory paper is issued.

Our Business Development Zone includes a wide variety of news-you-can-use to win new contracts, open new locations or maintain a secure footing with an existing client. We will be reporting on the formation of new carriers – passenger and cargo – as well as new routes the commercial airlines will be flying. The site will now provide monthly traffic reports for airports and airlines as two measures you can use to stay on top of a client's performance.

But what good is raw business intelligence without some sound advice as to how to use it? To that end, AIRPORTBUSINESS.com has a number of consultants who have agreed to write monthly advice columns. These experts will provide tips on airport security, customer service, general aviation issues, tenant relations and managing technology.

One thing that has been missing at AIRPORTBUSINESS.com has been a venue for the industry to announce new contracts, promotions and new products. The newly improved site corrects this omission. The Industry Update area gives you a chance to make these announcements to your peers. While you can e-mail them to us, there is also a handy submit button to file your news release and photos. As part of the new Industry Update area, we will now be providing coverage of the industry's major trade shows and conventions. Not only will this coverage be updated throughout the show, but we will also be archiving our convention coverage so that you can refer back to a news story, podcast or press release months after the event.

In the coming months, the staff of AIRPORTBUSINESS.com will be fine-tuning and tweaking the new departments to provide you with better and faster business intelligence. If you have a suggestion, please don't hesitate to contact us.
