Delta Air Lines Inc. said Tuesday it plans to upgrade all of its air service in New York to jet aircraft.

The move means that the airline will use 50-seat regional jets instead of 37-seat turboprop planes on its four daily flights between Syracuse and John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City by Labor Day. The first upgrade of two turboprop flights to jets will occur April 17 in Syracuse.

Delta also announced it will add two daily jet flights between Binghamton and JFK starting May 7.
