Boise on Final Approach for New Airport Director
Feb. 14--Boise has winnowed a list of five candidates down to three finalists for the director's job at Boise Airport.
Mayor Dave Bieter appointed an eight-member selection committee, which sorted through 39 applications to come up with five finalists.
Those finalists were interviewed in Boise late last month.
Now the list is down to three candidates.
The candidates are:
--Michael Feeley, director of airport systems, Fort Worth, Texas.
--Michael LaPier, airport manager, St. George Municipal Airport, Utah.
--Thomas Nolan, assistant director of airports, Wichita Airport, Kansas
Human Resources Director Shawn Miller said Bieter will make a recommendation to the City Council in the next two to three weeks.
The job pays $98,000 to $136,000 a year.
Former airport Director John Anderson resigned in October after working at the airport for 16 years. Boise Airport is Idaho's largest.
City officials advertised around the country for the position, including sending brochures to 150 airports.
