Lufthansa Raises Pay for Ground, Cabin Staff
An agreement has been reached between Deutsche Lufthansa AG and the Verdi labour union relating to a pay increase for the carrier's cabin and ground staff.
Under the terms of the agreement the staff will reportedly receive a pay rise of 3.4%.
According to AFX News, the agreement runs for 17 months until the end of May 2008 and employees will also receive a one-off payment of EUR525. The airline also announced that workers will benefit from the same profit-sharing programme as the previous agreement.
