Roof Fire Prompts KC Airport Evacuation

A fire in a restaurant's grill vent forced travelers to briefly evacuate a terminal at the Kansas City International Airport early Saturday.

The blaze, which caused minor damage to the roof, was quickly put out and travelers were allowed back in shortly before 8 a.m.

It was unclear which flights were affected by the fire in Terminal B, which has about 30 gates serving Southwest and Delta airlines.
