Embraer and Lufthansa Make Preliminary Agreement for 30 Aircraft

Brazil's Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica SA (NYSE: ERJ and Bovespa: EMBR3), or Embraer, has confirmed making a preliminary agreement with Deutsche Lufthansa AG for the supply of 30 EMBRAER 190s.
According to the aircraft maker the deliveries will start in 2009. Embraer said the execution of the final contract is expected within the next few weeks, and once it has been confirmed the contract will supersede the existing agreement between Embraer and Swiss International Air Lines for 15 EMBRAER 170s and 15 EMBRAER 195s.
No financial details have been disclosed.
