Former NH-owned Plane Makes Safe Landing in Florida
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- A small plane made a successful emergency landing yesterday afternoon after its landing gear didn't fully extend.
The twin-engine plane circled Peter O'Knight Airport on Davis Island several times before the pilot, Peter Kendal, landed safely. Officials said Kendal and a co-pilot were the only two people on board.
The plane, which flew out of Tampa, was registered to Recore Trading in Derry, N.H. But the company's owner, Donald Belisle, told WMUR-TV that he sold it 10 days ago to a Tampa man. He said he never had any trouble with the landing gear.
