New terminal proposed for Logan-Cache Airport

Private developer would take the lead

Posted: 7:25 AM- LOGAN - Clark Development Inc. wants to build a new terminal at the Logan-Cache Airport - and the firm says it will fund the project entirely out-of-pocket.

The Herald Journal says the company's Jerry Clark believes the terminal would provide an extra incentive for commercial air carriers to service the region.

"We really feel it would be an icon for Logan and Cache County to have a beautiful facility out there. It would put us on the map," Clark told the Airport Authority Board Tuesday.

If approved, Clark said the hangar and terminal would be constructed in stages at a cost of at least $5 million. It would include a restaurant, office space and lounges for passengers and pilots.

Logan Mayor Randy Watts says the idea is great - and other airport members say they want to hear more as the plan develops.
