Paxport Launches a New Solution for APIS-Data Processing
As more and more countries demand advance passenger information (APIS), carriers face congestion at check-in, rising cost, delays and heavy fines for non-compliance with APIS regulations. Leisure airlines are especially vulnerable as passenger data may be held in external allotments.
Paxport Security addresses the key issues of timing and availability of data, enabling airlines to start collecting APIS data at a much earlier stage and allowing passengers to enter their details right after they have purchased a ticket - not when they are queuing at check-in.
Technical Director Louis Mossou states; “Paxport Security works independent of departure control and airline reservation systems and can be deployed as a standalone solution or integrated with existing Paxport services. Several carriers have signed up already, and we believe that with the approaching deadlines of e- Borders in the UK and tighter APIS demands in South America we will see even more interest.”
Paxport Security forms an attractive enhancement to the suite of products and services offered by Paxport, which include Pax Services, Paxport Revenue Plus and Paxport Internet Check-in. Paxport has been active in the travel industry as a software and service provider since 1992, when its initial core business was consolidating passenger data for tour operators and leisure airlines. Today, Paxport offers a wide range of innovative software and outsource services, cutting costs and creating new ways of raising revenue for customers throughout Europe. Paxport provides services to more than 60 companies in the airline industry, processing well over 20 million passengers annually.
