Embraer reports second quarter backlog status

Brazil's Embraer has reported that its firm order backlog for the Commercial Aviation, Executive Aviation, and Defense and Government segments increased by USD600m during the second quarter of 2007.

The firm order backlog totalled a record USD15.6bn for the quarter, the company said.

As a result of actions taken regarding the supply chain and industrial processes, deliveries for the quarter came to 36 aircraft, taking the total for the first six months of 2007 to 61 aircraft. Embraer maintains its deliveries forecast for 2007 of between 165 and 170 aircraft.
