Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Samsung Mobile, and JCDecaux have launched charging stations in all terminals at Los Angeles International Airport.

The new charging stations reportedly allow for free electrical re-charging of mobile phones, laptops and other personal electronics.

The partners said that 51 of the 8.5ft pole-like charging stations have been installed throughout the boarding areas in Terminals 1 through 8 and in the Tom Bradley International Terminal. The Samsung Mobile Charging Stations have four outlets per station, allowing multiple travellers to re-charge electronic devices.

The charging stations have been designed to re-charge personal electronics designed for United States voltage (120 volts).

Samsung Telecommunications America is sponsoring the new service as part of the airport's in-terminal advertising programme and LAWA is providing the electricity for the charging stations. JCDecaux reportedly designed and produced the concept of the Samsung Mobile Charging Stations.
