Flights to San Diego from San Francisco are to be launched by Virgin American Inc from 12 February 2008.
The airline will start the service with three daily flights, expanding to five from 9 March, and introductory fares will start at USD39 each way in economy class.
According to the San Francisco Business Times, connecting flights also will be available from San Diego via San Francisco to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Washington D.C.'s Dulles airport.
