Boeing's 787 Could Take First Flight Next Week
SEATTLE --
Boeing announced the window for the first flight of the 787 Dreamliner will open at 10 a.m. on Dec. 15. The official date and time are dependent upon final tests and reviews.
Before its first flight, the 787 will undergo final internal reviews, a high-speed taxi test and receive the final experimental ticket from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the company said.
The first flight will leave from Paine Field in Everett and arrive at Boeing Field in Seattle.
Boeing has repeatedly postponed the 787's inaugural flight and deliveries, putting it more than two years behind schedule.
