New Grand Forks airport terminal set to open

Aug. 15, 2011

GRAND FORKS (AP) - The public on Thursday got a chance to view the new $21 million terminal at the Grand Forks airport.

The open house followed two years of construction on the Byron L. Dorgan Terminal, which is named for the longtime U.S. senator. It replaces a terminal that opened in 1964 and underwent four renovation projects through the years.

The new 52,000-square-foot terminal is double the size of the existing one. It opens on Aug. 30.
