Appleton Scores a Hole-in-One with Allegiant

Aug. 12, 2011

"We are extremely pleased to expand the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop, jet service in Appleton," Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President, said. "We are confident the Appleton community will appreciate flying nonstop to the Phoenix-Mesa area and take advantage of the great deals we offer on vacation packages to this popular destination."

"The Outagamie County Airport is pleased to see Allegiant's service grow in the Fox Cities," said Martin Lenss, Airport Director. "The Phoenix-Mesa announcement is testament to Allegiant's continued confidence in the region's market--a confidence that stems from the community's strong response to Allegiant's non-stop service to Las Vegas and Orlando flights. We welcome Allegiant's continued partnership and we anticipate a very positive reaction from Northeast Wisconsin residents to the new non-stop service to Phoenix-Mesa."

The new flights will operate twice weekly between the Outagamie County Regional Airport (ATW) and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA) with service Thursday and Sunday. Flights will depart Appleton at 7:45 p.m. arriving in Phoenix-Mesa at 10:30 p.m. Flights leaving Phoenix-Mesa will depart at 2:50 p.m. arriving in Appleton at 7:05 p.m. (all flight times are local). The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route.

With breathtaking scenery, endless sun, unmatched resorts and miles of world-class golf courses, Phoenix-Mesa is a gateway to all that Arizona has to offer, including the Grand Canyon, Scottsdale, Tempe and Sedona. Not only is the area considered "The Golf Capital of the World," but also the "Resort Capital of the World," with numerous four- and five-diamond resorts. These premier resort communities feature shopping, dining, spa, activities and luxury accommodations for the perfect getaway to Arizona's unique Southwestern hospitality.
