United and Continental were first and second respectively in on-time performance for domestic scheduled flights among America's five largest global carriers for October 2010, as measured by the US Department of Transportation (DOT).

The DOT's Air Travel Consumer Report shows that United ended the month with 89.9% of its domestic flights arriving at their destinations within 14 minutes of the scheduled arrival time. The corresponding figure for Continental was 87.5%.
