Inc. magazine ranked Desert Jet, an aircraft management and charter company based in Southern California, number 296 on its 30th annual Inc. 500, a ranking of private companies.

Desert Jet was founded by pilot and entrepreneur Denise Wilson to help individuals and corporations use business jets to fulfill their corporate and personal travel needs. Unlike charter brokers, Desert Jet actually operates its own fleet of jet aircraft.

The Company said Desert Jet is the only jet charter company on the 2011 Inc. 500 list that is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as an air carrier and regulated by the Department of Transportation.

The three-year growth rate for Desert Jet was 1101 percent. Desert Jet also ranked as the fastest growing aviation company in the country and #25 of all women-run companies.
