The New York City's three major airports John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark Liberty airports would most likely to resume services in early Monday after Tropical Storm Irene moved from the city.

On Monday the flights will start arriving at 6 a.m. (1000 GMT) at the John F. Kennedy International as well as the Newark Liberty International airports while departures have been slated to restore at noon, said the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. However, the LaGuardia Airport will resume operations from Monday by allowing both arrivals and departures at 7 a.m.(1100 GMT). In the mean time, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced that the resumption of subway service will start at 6 a.m. (1000 GMT) Monday morning. The Hurricane Irene that was downgraded to a tropical storm after hitting New York City, has made the authority to cancel over 11,000 flight along with disrupted the bus, subway as well as train services.
