Frontier Airlines Reports August 2011 Traffic
Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM: RJET), today reported preliminary traffic results for August 2011. Frontier's traffic increased 2%, to 1.2 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), while capacity was down 1%, at 1.4 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Frontier Airlines served 1.5 million passengers in August, a 4% increase from August 2010. August had a load factor of 90% compared to 88% in the same month last year. It was Frontier's second consecutive record monthly load factor.
