NORWEGIAN AIR SHUTTLE AND AEROPLEX OF CENTRAL EUROPE LTD. SIGN CONTRACT FOR BASE MAINTENANCE SERVICES

ENP Newswire - 06 September 2011 Release date- 01092011 - On 19th August, 2011 Aeroplex of Central Europe Ltd signed an agreement with Norwegian Air Shuttle, second biggest Scandinavian airline, based in Oslo.

The agreement covers winter check and ROW-44 modification works on Norwegian 34 ea Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The first maintenance will start on 1st of September, 2011 and the maintenance line shall be finished in middle of March, 2012. This further cooperation surely demonstrates their confidence and trust in our services, as well as in our flexibility at any time' said Imre Nemcsok, Managing Director of Aeroplex. The contract, just signed, is a further cooperation between Aeroplex and Norwegian. Aeroplex experts were already modified 12 ea B737-800 aircraft all together to being internet access-ready with ROW44 designed kit. Some of these works were made in Budapest, the rest were 'transformed' to Stavanger base of Norwegian. Aeroplex was pioneer in theese works, as the company was the first who installed this system to B737 aircraft in Europe. Aeroplex of Central Europe Ltd. Aeroplex of Central Europe Aircraft Technology Center (ACE) was established as an independent company in 1992 to perform aircraft maintenance at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. ACE (owned by MALEV Hungarian Airlines) is an approved PART-145 maintenance station. ACE specialises in the heavy airframe overhaul, repair and maintenance services of Boeing 767, Boeing 757, Boeing 737, Airbus 320family aircraft and line maintenance services at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, Hungary for various aircraft types. Further on a variety of workshops designed to support the Base and Line maintenance enhances the effectiveness of the maintenance services, and reduces the aircraft downtimes.
