Over $1.9 Million for Fort Dodge Airport
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) today announced that the Fort Dodge Regional Airport will receive a grant of $ $1,931,713 to repair the airport's runway and lighting systems. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Harkin is a member of the Appropriations subcommittee that funds the DOT.
"Good public transportation goes hand in hand with a strong economy," said Harkin. "These runway and lighting improvements will allow the Fort Dodge Regional Airport to expand and will boost economic development in the area."
