Latest stats show 80 percent of Louis Armstrong New Orleans Airport flights on time
Nearly 80 percent of all flights at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport were on time in July, according to U.S. Department of Transportation figures released today.
Of the 20 percent that were late, 7.7 percent were the result of airport flight delays, 6.7 percent were because of air carrier delays, 4.1 percent were connected to national aviation system delays, 1 percent were attributed to weather, 0.9 percent were cancelled or diverted and 0.1 percent were because of a security delay.
Domestic passenger traffic at Armstrong Airport continued to fly high during the typically slow month of July -- just barely, according to figures released last month.
