Beijing Capital Airport provides IC cards with small face value at terminals
It is reported that, after several rounds of consultation and communication with IC card distributors and telecom operators, BCIA is able to offer 20 yuan IC card for its passengers, in addition to the 100 yuan and 50 yuan cards. Currently, all the thirteen self-service vending machines in public area of Terminal 3 can offer 20 yuan IC card. Passengers only need to click on the "IC card" option on the screen to select from the three choices with different face values. Notable new reminders in the money inlet of the card-selling machines have replaced the old ones. In addition, the card-selling machines at the international departure gate of Terminal 3 are also updated and are expected to complete all the updating procedure by mid-September. By then all the card-selling machines at Terminal 3 can offer 20 yuan IC cards. Meanwhile, the Airport began to offer IC cards of small denominations at counters of Terminal 1 and 2. IC cards with small face value provide better, more humanized options to passengers, and reduce unnecessary waste, added the company.
