PSA Flight Attendants Authorize Strike

United/Continental subsidiary has 330 daily departures out of over 62 airports

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Flight attendants at United Continental Holdings (ual) subsidiary PSA Airlines have voted to strike after mediated negotiations with management failed to secure a labor deal, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA said Wednesday. Only the National Mediation Board can authorize an airline worker strike, which would typically follow a 30-day "cooling off" period. The union is hoping for just that. Meanwhile, flight attendants threatened to disrupt operations if management continues to make "regressive proposals." PSA has 330 daily departures out of over 62 airports.
