Virgin Australia plans code share with Delta Air Lines
Virgin Australia group of airlines (ASX:VBA) on Monday announced two new features of its recently approved joint venture with Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL).
Under the approved joint venture the two carriers are expanding the code share agreement on services between the US and Australia and will offer an enhanced customer experience in Los Angeles. Code share services are on sale now for travel from 6 November. Under the expanded agreement Delta will add its code to all services between Los Angeles and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, currently operated by V Australia and V Australia will add its code to the Delta service between Los Angeles and Sydney. From November, flights operated by V Australia will arrive at Delta's Terminal 5 at Los Angeles International Airport, which is intended to improve the customer experience by allowing easier and faster connections.
