Vision seen with airport fees owed
Vision Airlines, which inaugurated service earlier this year with a splash in Chattanooga and other airports in the mid-South region, owes thousands of dollars in federally mandated fees to airports in at least four states.
Little Rock National Airport disclosed last week the airline owes it more than $32,000 in passenger facility charges since it began service between Little Rock and an airport near Destin, Fla., in March. At Shreveport Regional Airport in Shreveport, La., a spokesman said the airline owed about $18,000.
Lafayette Regional Airport in Lafayette, La., was owed money, but Director Greg Roberts, said the amount hasn't been calculated yet.
The status of Vision's fee payments at several other airports contacted this week, including Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport in Chattanooga, wasn't immediately available.
The airline's service to Northwest Florida Regional Airport near Destin from Chattanooga and other cities ended this month and is supposed to resume in the spring.
