Aircraft movements increased by 8.2% to just over 36,000 take-offs and landings and the airport also saw continued growth in airfreight volume, which was up 4.3% to 170,564 metric tons. This represents a new record high for February.

Fraport's five majority-owned airports, including Frankfurt Airport, recorded an increase of 11.6% in passenger numbers for February 2011 to a total of 5.14m.
