Siemens installs baggage handling system for Delta at LAX

The Siemens Apron Baggage Screening (SABS) solution, located in Terminal 5, will be used by Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL).

It provides an inline baggage screening matrix with explosive detection system devices that are linked to the existing baggage handling system at the airport, essentially providing a baggage handling and screening system "in a box", Siemens Industry said.

No financial details were disclosed.
