AERO Specialties named Northwest Region Exporter of the Year
May 10, 2011 - Boise, Idaho. AERO Specialties Inc. is proud to announce it has received the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2011 Northwest Region Exporter of the Year award. This recognition comes in addition to being designated by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as the 2011 Idaho Exporter of the Year. AERO Specialties’ achievements were honored during the Boise World Trade Day celebration, held on May 4, 2011, at Boise State University.
Approximately 200 people were in attendance to observe SBA’s Region 10 Administrator present this prestigious award to AERO’s President, Matt Sheehan. The ceremony brought closure to a day of seminars designed to educate local business owners on successful international marketing and exporting strategies.
“AERO Specialties is very humbled to receive such a distinguished award,” stated Sheehan. “My entire sales team works hard to meet the expanding need for our products on the international marketplace; it is an honor for all of us at AERO to be recognized in this capacity for our contributions to help grow the American economy. Dedication to superiorly manufactured products and providing exceptional service after the point of sale will facilitate the augmentation of American exports.”
Sheehan added, “I would like to thank the SBA and Amy Benson of the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Assistance Center for their contributions to our growth.”
AERO Specialties remains committed to exporting American manufactured goods. Exported goods represent approximately 40 percent of total annual sales for AERO Specialties. AERO Specialties ground support equipment (GSE) is used by corporate flight departments, fixed-base operators, airlines and military installations from Iraq to Nigeria to Tahiti.
