In addition to their Sherpa cargo tow tractors, and Bison D370, D620 and D1000 conventional tow tractors, Welcome Airport Services has now ordered a Phoenix P towbarless aircraft tractor for their ground handling fleet, which was delivered in May.

With the Polish company Welcome Airport Services, Goldhofer has been able to recruit another major ground handler as a customer and service partner. Welcome Airport Services is one of Poland’s largest ground handling service providers. The company has been responsible for aircraft and passenger handling services for various airlines for almost 25 years and is affiliated to the leading aviation infrastructure company Polish Airports (PPL S.A.). Welcome currently has more than 2,000 employees working at its locations at eight Polish airports.

The company offers a wide range of services in the fields of air cargo, aircraft and passenger handling in compliance with the highest quality and safety standards. Today, the company has a full portfolio of Goldhofer ground support vehicles for working with all the common types of aircraft.

“We are delighted that Welcome has chosen Goldhofer as a partner for its expansion strategy,” says Brigitte Aumayr, area manager Europe airport technology at Goldhofer.

In addition to their Sherpa cargo tow tractors, and Bison D370, D620 and D1000 conventional tow tractors, Welcome has now ordered a Phoenix P towbarless aircraft tractor for their ground handling fleet, which was delivered in May.

“The Phoenix towbarless tractor enables us to respond even faster, more effectively and more economically to the strong resurgence in traffic volumes at Polish airports,” says Marcin Klejdys, logistics director at Welcome.

In addition to general airport services, Welcome will also be responsible in the future for servicing and maintenance work related to the Goldhofer product portfolio, both for their own fleet and for other GSE operators using Goldhofer vehicles who are interested in outsourcing their tasks in whole or in part. The company’s well developed workshop network also carries an extensive stock of spare parts, so that any repairs can be carried out quickly and efficiently.
