Meeting customer requirementsIn an ever-changing and fast paced industry that has a multitude of different aircraft model types in service, selecting the right ground support equipment for the task can become a complex procedure.In the case of one of our customers operating out of Schiphol airport, the requirement was a 2-bottle nitrogen service cart suited to their narrow body fleet of aircraft.The briefTo fit with the day-to-day nitrogen servicing tasks, the brief from the ground engineers was for a 2-bottle nitrogen cart that would only be used to inflate aircraft tyres (low pressure), would not require gas bottle changes and was of a heavy-duty flat-bed design. To meet the requirement and expectation of the customer in the shortest possible timeframe, the end solution would take existing proven features that can be found on some of our other GSE lines. Key featuresThe charging system is that used on our standard offering of easy-load range of service carts but has the high pressure system removed, and an integrated fill port fitted. The chassis features the same front end that is used on our wheel change trailers including a double acting parking brake along with heavy gauge box section material.Customer satisfactionWhilst the end product appears very different from the standard ‘easy-load’ range of service carts manufactured by Newbow Aerospace, the customers brief was met, supplying them a fully customised nitrogen cartRequest More Information
