GSE Expo Europe 2024 was an outstanding success for Goldhofer AG. The trade fair was held at a new location this year, attracting a much more international audience and thus significantly increasing its appeal. All major players in the industry were represented, underlining the importance of the event.
Goldhofer positioned itself as one of the highlights of the trade show, impressing visitors in its comprehensive role as a full-service provider, which also includes charging infrastructure. The main focus at the Goldhofer stand was on the Phoenix E and Sherpa E – a convincing reflection of the current trend toward e-mobility.
The flagship of the Goldhofer fleet, the fully electric Phoenix E towbarless aircraft tractor, is today’s vehicle of choice for sustainability in the field of ground handling. The Phoenix E is extremely versatile and can handle 70 percent of all passenger and cargo aircraft on the market today up to a maximum take-off weight of 352 t. The tractor is a powerful workhorse that can be configured for specific operational requirements.
The Sherpa E cargo tractor on show at the Goldhofer stand is designed to handle a wide range of jobs on the airport apron. It has the power to make it a fully fledged alternative to a diesel. The tractor can carry up to eight tons of ballast as required in the individual case. This gives it the traction needed to tow heavy loads up to 80 t and also to handle pushbacks with smaller aircraft of up to 50 t take-off weight.
Interest in e-mobility in the field of GSE continues to grow, and with its innovative products Goldhofer is ideally positioned to play an active role in this period of change. The conventional Bison series also met with a keen response at the trade fair, confirming that Goldhofer has the right solutions for all ground handling requirements.
This year’s GSE Expo Europe was also the setting for talks that were impressive in terms of both quantity and depth. Above all, forward-looking and highly specific discussions were held with a wide range of international customers, underlining the importance of the event as a platform for exchange with the various players in the industry. The intensive talks held at the Goldhofer stand, one of the central points of contact for the industry, once again demonstrated Goldhofer’s pioneering role as a provider of GSE solutions.
Stavros Hatziioannou, vice president of sales and service at Goldhofer, aptly summarized the positive outcome of the trade fair: “For us, GSE Expo Europe 2024 was an extremely successful event. The quality of the discussions with visitors from so many countries showed that we are on the right track with our products and our approach as a full-service provider. In particular, our e-mobility solutions, the Phoenix E and Sherpa E, generated great interest, which confirms that we are also on course with our upcoming developments.”
