Tronair, Inc. (“Tronair”) a portfolio company of private investment firm Meritage Group LP, is pleased to announce the promotion of Howard Jones to the position of chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Jones succeeds Paul Schwarzbaum who announced his retirement last month after serving as Tronair’s president and CEO and as a board director for the past five and a half years.

With more than 27 years of business management experience in leading manufacturing companies, Jones brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. Before his promotion, he served as Tronair’s vice president of operations, demonstrating exceptional leadership and operational acumen.

“I am honored to take on the role of CEO at Tronair. I look forward to building on the strong foundation that Paul has put in place to better serve our customers, and to leading our talented team towards continued success and even higher levels of customer service,” Jones said.

Prior to joining Tronair, Jones held significant operational roles at leading global  manufacturers, including Tecomet, Ametek, and Viasystems, where he managed a diverse range of industrial and commercial product businesses.

Derek Larson, a member of the Tronair Board and a managing director at Meritage  Group LP expressed his appreciation for Schwarzbaum‘s stewardship of the business  during very trying times during the Covid pandemic, and his confidence in Jones, adding, “Howard’s extensive experience and proven track record make him the ideal leader to guide Tronair into its next chapter of growth and innovation.”

Jones earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Portland.
