CHATSWORTH, CA Oct. 27, 2020 – Hydraulics International, Inc. (“HII”) today announced that it has received the prestigious 2020 President’s “E” Award for demonstrating a sustained increase in export sales over a four-year period. Record years of successive export growth and an applicant’s demonstration of an innovative international marketing plan that led to the increase in American exports are significant factors in selecting the overall winners of the award.

“HII is proud to receive the 2020 “E” Award which is a testament to our leading position in aviation ground support equipment and sustained success in serving our international customers,” said Bahman Seifollahi, President of HII. “We would not achieve the significant growth in export without the support of our engineering and sales teams, our vertically-integrated manufacturing base, and our long-term partnership with the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service office network. On behalf of HII, I want to commend all of our employees for their efforts to perform for our customers.”

HII started to scale up its export efforts in 2012 when it established an office in Singapore to cover sales to the Asia Pacific region. HII has since been exporting to over 25 countries, supporting governments, aircraft OEMs, commercial airlines and maintenance, repair and overhaul stations globally. As a result, international sales have grown in double digits for consecutive years.

Also noteworthy is that HII was very recently awarded by the U.S. Department of Defense a $377,357,493 firm-fixed-price, requirements-type, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for multiple pieces of hydraulic equipment and hydraulic fluid purification systems to be used on multiple aviation platforms. This award was a result of a sole-source acquisition.
