The GroundStar software suite supports airports, airlines and ground handlers and is enabled for an optimized planning, airport operations, workforce management, and hub and turnaround management. New developments and functionalities will be showcased by dedicated experts at the stand.

INFORM, a global software provider for AI-driven Digital Decision-Making optimizing business operations, headquartered in Aachen, Germany, will be exhibiting its optimization software solutions at Aerospace Tech Week Europe to be held March 29-30, 2023 at the MOC Event Center in Messe München, Munich, Germany. The INFORM exhibit will be located at Stand 427. In addition, INFORM Aviation’s Head of Air Cargo & Line Maintenance Swen Franken will be presenting on the topic of “Targeting Staff Shortages in MRO through Technology: How Digitization Improves Your Workforce Efficiency.” His presentation will be held in the “Capacity Building and Workforce Planning” slot, on March 30, 11 a.m. CEST, in Room 4.

Through advanced state of the art workforce management solutions, multiple improvements can be achieved at the same time for both, staff members and companies: Instead of dispatching teams with radio communication or pen and paper, digital task allocation software can be implemented to ensure an electronic workflow. By integrating such a tasking system with an existing MRO software, modern optimization algorithms ensure a productivity increase. In addition, receiving static printouts of monthly shift plan is not required anymore as employees will be able to access their schedule at any time on their private smartphone with the ability to request days-off, swap shifts and more. Filing vacation requests via paper becomes yesterday. At the same time, all of this data is used to create an optimal shift plan, always utilizing the latest information available while considering operational needs like required staffing levels, qualifications and rest periods, at the same time.

The GroundStar suite optimizes a wide range of airline, airport, and ground handling processes, as well as special services. These include hub and turnaround management, passenger and baggage transfer management, ramp services, passenger services, transport services, gate and stand management, flight information management, baggage, and customer check-ins. Special services supported by the software include aircraft line maintenance, de-icing, fueling, and catering. There are specific solutions for planning (GS Planning Staff & Equipment, GS Planning Stands & Terminal), scheduling (GS WorkforcePlus), operations (GS Real Time Staff & Equipment, GS GroundFleet, GS TurnManager, GS Connect, GS RealTime Stands & Terminal), and scheduling (GS WorkforcePlus).
