Dabico Airport Solutions – the airports division being divested from the Cavotec group – is launching a raft of innovative 400Hz power supply and integrated operational control solutions that enable airlines and airport operators to improve the health and safety of passengers and employees, and the efficiency and sustainability of their operations.
The solutions include a 400Hz battery-powered ground power unit for aircraft, the Dabico 400Hz-eGPU; a motor-driven 400Hz cable management system, the Dabico 400Hz Jet Cable Friend; and a remote cloud-based operations management system, DABiConnect.
The Dabico 400Hz-eGPU reduces operating costs compared to conventional diesel-powered units and makes dramatic reductions in terms of emissions and noise, thereby decreasing environmental impact and improving health outcomes of those working in and around airports.
The system includes a rapid charging solution that provides sufficient power for up to 14 class-C aircraft turnaround sequences. The units are also Wi-Fi- and 3-, 4-, and 5G-enabled for integration with airport operating and monitoring systems.
“Our new 400Hz-eGPU charges faster, has more power and works smarter. It is also emissions-free and virtually silent for a cleaner and less hazardous working environment. It enables a series of operational improvements, including greater efficiency, improved health and safety, and reduced environmental footprint,” says Juergen Strommer, Dabico Airport Solutions CEO designate.
DABiConnect connects ground support equipment assets including GPU, PCA, Visual Docking Guidance Systems, passenger boarding bridges, potable, waste and blue water systems, in-ground pit systems and other equipment. It integrates securely with airport operator databases and billing systems to enable automated billing. It is an innovative and powerful remote operations management solution that empowers users to monitor real time data and operating status remotely.
The 400Hz Jet Cable Friend makes it safer and easier for personnel to access jet cables from in-ground chambers and connect to aircraft. Existing installations can be easily retrofitted.
Dabico Airport Solutions will launch the systems at the Dubai Airport Show held this week.
