Aviation Fueling Challenge Starts Oct. 1

Sept. 24, 2019
This year, 10 teams from all over the world will also compete for the title of the best-performing team in aviation fueling.

Aviation Fueling Challenge (“AFC”), the only international competition for aviation fuel supply professionals, will take place on Oct. 1–3, in Belgrade (Serbia). The event is organized by Gazpromneft–Aero, the aviation fuel business operator of Gazpromneft, and supported by IATA. The official partners of AFC are Gazpromneft’s subsidiary in Serbia – NIS and Serbian aviation service company, JAT Tehnika.

AFC features three individual nominations for aviation fuel-tanker drivers, shift supervisors, and deputy production chiefs. The competition tasks comply with the international quality standards for aviation fueling: the participants submit tests in electronic formats to demonstrate their knowledge of theory and will also complete two tasks in each nomination.

The team stage includes practical tasks with time limits. The AFC jury panel comprises representatives of IATA and aviation fuel inspection association, JIG (The Joint Inspection Group).
