Frankfurt / Germany, May 29 2019 – As leading provider of climate-controlled solutions for air cargo, DoKaSch Temperature Solutions is engaging in the second think-a-thon at transport logistic 2019 and air cargo Europe in Munich, Germany. Letting students with creative minds work on a problem and thus find new approaches to solutions is the basic idea of the think-a-thon concept.

“Innovation is at the very heart of our temperature-controlled container services for the pharmaceutical industry. So participating in an event to drive creative ideas in the logistics industry shows our commitment to continued innovation”, says Andreas Seitz, Managing Director at DoKaSch Temperature Solutions.

At transport logistic and air cargo Europe from June 4-7 in Munich, more than 30 students from various European universities and colleges will be devoting themselves to a logistics industry topic, developing ideas and presenting solutions on site. With logistics experts from a total of 2,360 exhibitors from all over the world who will be taking part in the most important trade fair for the industry in Europe, there will be plenty of opportunities for professional exchange.

Apart from DoKaSch Temperature Solutions, the supporters of think-a-thon 2019 include airport operator Fraport, the technology and service company Bosch, leading ULD service provider Jettainer, as well as software developer Dakosy. The participating students are from Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt Technical University and and the Technical University of Munich, including international students from the Erasmus program of the European Union. The think-a-thon is part of the regular seminars. “Our business is global, so we need to address the logistical challenges in the world with a global mindset, beyond buzzwords such as Digitalization, AI and Blockchain. That is why we are looking forward to the fresh ideas of the students”, Seitz said.

"At the transport logistic think-a-thon, students with a well-founded knowledge of logistics meet problems of real-life business. The fair offers a unique opportunity to discuss and develop initial approaches with global experts. We are already very excited about the results," says Dr. Robert Schönberger, Exhibition Group Directorfor the transport logistic Cluster at Messe München.

A think tank for the students will be set up at the trade fair in Hall B2. The transport logistic think-a-thon will start on 4 June, the first day of the fair, at 12.30 noon at start.hub, also in Hall B2. Only then will the specific topic for the task be announced. Work will then be carried out in six groups of 5. On Thursday, 6 June, the developed ideas will be presented there from 3.00 p.m. and the best result will be awarded a prize.
