Naturally, when putting together the December/January issue of the magazine, I find myself looking back at what has transpired the previous 12 months and look ahead with optimism to the coming year.
I’m sure you don’t need another reminder of how turbulent 2020 was. Rather, I’ll suggest that you reflect on the past year by thinking of those who stepped up and devoted themselves to holding our industry together.
We at Ground Support Worldwide ask for your assistance in recognizing the best among us by nominating candidates for the publication’s annual Leaders of the Year awards.
More than ever, strong leaders have had an immeasurable impact on aviation. From engineers working to bring equipment to the ramp to improve efficiencies, to managers ensuring their businesses offer top-notch, proficient ground service and supervisors guiding their teams through professional turmoil, aviation’s key people played a vital role. Without people like these, a challenging time could have been even trying.
If you know a worthy candidate, please consider nominating them for the Product/Service Leader of the Year, Team Leader of the Year or Lifetime Achievement awards. The nomination period is open now.
More information about each award can be found by visiting AviationPros.com/21164181. In addition to being featured in the magazine this spring, winners will also be recognized at the International GSE Expo in October.
With our sights set on a prosperous year ahead, I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday season.
