Skymark Refuelers, in partnership with World Fuel Services and Clay Lacy Aviation, has introduced what the companies describe as the largest all-electric aircraft refueler in the United States. The 7,000-gallon vehicle is designed to support sustainable fueling operations and marks a step forward in the electrification of airport ground support equipment.

The new EV refueler combines a zero-emission electric drivetrain with a 7,000-gallon fuel capacity - among the largest available for electric units to date. The design incorporates a PTO shaft-driven pump for efficient fuel transfer and a thermal management system to maintain performance and extend component life.

According to Skymark, the vehicle is fully compliant with National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) standards and features smart monitoring and integrated safety systems to enhance operational visibility and control.

The refueler is being deployed in active operations with Clay Lacy Aviation, supported by World Fuel Services. The three companies say the initiative reflects a collaborative effort to advance decarbonization and modernize ground fueling infrastructure across U.S. airports.

Clay Lacy Aviation’s sustainability program, established in 2019, has focused on reducing environmental impact across its operations, and the new refueler aligns with those objectives. World Fuel Services notes that investments in electric and low-carbon technologies are central to its strategy for helping customers meet emissions-reduction goals.

The deployment of the 7,000-gallon EV refueler represents a milestone in the transition to cleaner, all-electric GSE designed to meet the performance and safety requirements of modern airport operations.
