Bowling Green Airport Installs Electric GSE
Bowling Green-Warren County Regional Airport has installed new electric ground support equipment thanks to a grant from a program sponsored by the Tennessee Valey Authority.
According to a Bowling Green Daily News report, a $171,802 award through the TVA's Energy Right Solutions program was presented to the airport, which completed its GSE project in February by installing a ground power unit, scissor lift, electric service truck, belt loader and cargo tractor. The article states that the equipment will service Contour Airlines aircraft beginning this May.
Four airports and one corporation were selected for the TVA awards, according to the report. The others included FedEx Corp. in Memphis; Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority; Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority; and Tri-Cities Airport.
